Alice Rogoff

Alice Elizabeth Rogoff is a member of the Laborfest Writers Group. She has been an Editor of the Haight Ashbury Literary Journal since 1984. Her poetry book Mural won a Blue Light Book Award. Another book of poems, Barge Wood, was published by CC. Marimbo. She has had short stories published in Caveat Lector, So to Speak, Black Maria, and the Noe Valley Voice. She received a San Francisco Cultural Equity Grant for a poetry project about women labor organizers and labor history in San Francisco. She will be reading at the Friends of the Library Reading series in the North Beach Library in December. Originally from New Rochelle New York, she moved to San Francisco in 1971. She is currently on the Board of the Gray Panthers and belongs to PEN, the Authors Guild, and the Communications Workers of America.
