Lauren Wheeler writes poetry, really short fiction, and pop-culture editorials. A recovering slam poet, she twice competed at the National Poetry Slam and has featured at Cornell University, where she studied English Literature, as well as in Los Angeles, Miami, and throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Lauren's work has appeared in Other Magazine, 365tomorrows, Lodestar Quarterly, Monkeybicycle, PANK Magazine, and The Nervous Breakdown, and she is also a staff writer at the pop-culture website Black Nerd Problems. Lauren works as a producer at a robotics and AI company in San Francisco and lives in West Oakland with her toddler son.
