Jane Ciabattari is the author of two short story collections--Stealing the Fire and California Tales. She serves as Vice President/Online of the National Book Critics Circle (and is a former NBCC president), is on the advisory board of The Story Prize, and a founder of the Flash Fiction Collective reading series. She is a columnist for BBC Culture and the Literary Hub, and contributes regularly to NPR.
