Barbara Levy Boxer served 24 years in the U.S. Senate, ten years in the U.S. House of Representatives, and six years on the Marin County Board of Supervisors. While in office, she championed women’s rights, the environment, public education, tax cuts and consumer protections. Since retiring from the Senate earlier this year, Senator Boxer has been volunteering for the political action committee she founded, PAC for a Change. She is author, most recently, of the memoir The Art of Tough: Fearlessly Facing Politics and Life.
